THE STORY

In the Spanish court of the 17th century, it is the birthday of the Infanta - arrogant, spoiled and heartless. As a special entertainment for her twelfth birthday, a “Fantastic” has been brought to the palace - an ugly, dwarfed boy - found innocently dancing and singing in nearby woods. The two children meet, one beautiful, heartless and unhappy; the other naive, poor, absurdly deformed but happy. Of the two, the princess is the more severely crippled because she lacks human compassion. The 'Fantastic' changes her life.

Much Ado About Nothing is one of Shakespeare's most imaginative and exuberant comedies, contrasting two pairs of lovers in a witty and suspenseful battle of the sexes.
Attracted to each other, the maddeningly skeptical Beatrice and Benedick are deadlocked in a lively war of words until their friends hatch a plot to unite them.
The mutually devoted Hero and Claudio, on the other hand, all too quickly fall victims to a malicious plot to part them. Near fatal complications ensue, but with the help of the hilarious Constable Dogberry and his confederates, the lovers are ultimately united.

NIGHT MUST FALL by Emlyn Williams

A psychological thriller - Danny, (a charming psychopath) working as a
bellboy in a resort hotel has seduced Dora, the maid at Mrs. Bramson's
house. When called to account he charms Mrs. Bramson, who employs him as a
live-in handyman. The murder of the blond racy Mrs Chalfont at the hotel is
traced to him. He is shielded by Olivia, Mrs. Bramson's niece, (a strange
unspoken understanding grows between them) but continues to plot the murder
of Mrs. Bramson for her money. Danny and Olivia finally confront each other.

British accents.
MRS. BRAMSON: 50-60. LEAD. A harridan and a hypochondriac who rules the
roost. Tight fisted. A bitter, fussy, self-pitying elderly woman, resides in
a remote part of Essex.

"thinker", a "plain Jane who could be a swan". Has an intricate relationship with Danny.
MRS. TERENCE: 50. Mrs. Bramson's cook. Fearless - outrageously outspoken, Cockney - a rough diamond. Comedic role
INSPECTOR BELSIZE: 50. Detective - Scotland Yard. An experienced questioner of suspects. His suavity hides any amount of strength.
