Meet Me in St. Louis Auditions- Cabrillo Music Theatre, Thousand Oaks

 MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS

The Broadway version of the classic M.G.M. musical includes "The Trolley Song," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "The Boy Next Door," plus several spectacular dance numbers created directly for the stage.

MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS will play July 20th through the 29th, 2012, in the Kavli Theatre at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.  MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS will be directed by Linda Kerns, with choreography by Heather Castillo.  Darryl Archibald will musical direct and lead the Cabrillo Music Theatre Orchestra.  The production will be supervised by Cabrillo's Artistic Director, Lewis Wilkenfeld.

MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS begins rehearsal for non-AEA June 11th, and for AEA on June 25th or July 2nd, 2012, depending on role.

Currently seeking Equity Talent and non-Equity Talent for the role of "Lon," and non-Equity Talent for the Dance Ensemble.  All roles are open, and all roles are open to Non-Equity talent.  3 Equity contracts are ultimately available.  There is pay for all roles age 18 and up.

DIVERSITY IS ENCOURAGED.  ALL ETHNIC TYPES WELCOME.

Cast limited to age 15 and above. Please bring picture and resume.
Bring sheet music in the proper key, accompanist provided.  Musical theatre music; no pop.  No recorded music or a capella, please.
Non-union please limit song to one minute.

This is a Dance Call for the roles of Lon and the Dance Ensemble.
NOTE:  ALL ROLES ARE OPEN!  Only the roles of Lon and Dance Ensemble are holding auditions now.  Auditions for all other roles (including roles not cast at this call) will take place in Thousand Oaks and Los Angeles on May 5-8, 2012.

All auditions are by appointment only.  To schedule an audition, please call (805) 497-8614 X3, beginning March 19th.  When leaving a message, please include your name, role(s) for which you'd like to be considered, telephone number, and whether or not you're a member of Actors' Equity Assn.  There will be no callbacks for this audition.

Character Descriptions for Early Dance Auditions Only:

LON SMITH (to play age 19), good-looking nineteen-year-old Princeton freshman.  Young and fresh-faced.  Must Dance very well and sing (Tenor).  Open to A.E.A. and non-A.E.A. performers.

MALE AND FEMALE DANCERS WHO SING (to play ages 19-40) to portray Trolley Passengers, Party Guests, Ballroom Couples, and Carolers.
Must dance well and sing (all voice types).  Open to non-A.E.A.
performers only.

Auditions for ALL OTHER ROLES to take place May 5-8, 2012.  ALL ROLES IN THE SHOW ARE OPEN!
